"iKhaya," is a limited edition piece created as part of a two-piece series for Mother’s Day.
“ iKhaya” meaning "home" in Zulu, is a tribute to the sanctuary that mothers provide. In this piece, I explore the concept of "home" not just as a physical space, but as the loving, safe haven that mothers create for us. They are the place where we find comfort, peace, and solace, a constant refuge through life's challenges.

This artwork reflects the warmth and security that a mother's love embodies, capturing the essence of home in its truest form. The piece is thoughtfully crafted with an acrylic base, then enhanced with layers of oil paint, creating depth and texture.

Falling under the "light" theme in my collection, the piece explores the interplay of light and shadow. Printed on premium smooth fine art paper (300 gsm), this hand-embellished Giclee print measures 61x73.2cm ensuring a refined and timeless piece for your collection.
